Since its founding in 1876, the town has grown from a historic railroad town to a modern commercial hub. The population is at about 18,000 residents and has continued to thrive.
The city’s rich history begins with the International-Great Northern Railroad, as it was founded after multiple lots were auctioned off, and was named after a local railroad official.
